This week I have the plans I drew up for a project I'm pretty excited for; Raiden's Cyborg Ninja Sword, or High-Frequency Blade as it was known in MGS2, and his side-daggers. I'm a pretty big fan of the Metal Gear Solid series, albeit a more recent one, and I really loved Raiden's sword in MGS4. It had the style of a tactical knife extended into a sword! I also have plans for Raiden's sword from the upcoming game Metal Gear Rising: REVENGEANCE, but those are a little too...complex to upload here.

Anyway! A few notes on recommended construction if you plan on using this blueprint. C: As always, I used 4 squares per inch graph paper. Which means four squares on the paper is equivalent to one inch. I recommend you use 1/4 in. wood (if you're going to use wood that is) for Raiden's Sword as it is very thin and bare. And then I recommend you use 1/2 in. wood for his daggers, which he has three of by the way if you plan to cosplay him, as they were noticeably thicker when I was viewing screenshots of the game. Please take note that on the left most image of the hilt I have the blade start at 6.5 squares wide (Little over 1.5 in.) an the next image the blade tapers down to 5 squares at the tip. Raiden's sword isn't too long, so I plan to make the blade about 25 or so inches, but feel free to adjust it to whatever you feel is right.

Some smaller detail notes: The two holes I put in the middle of the hilt are for your paracord wrap. Raiden's sword appears to use a Strider style wrapping. The use of those two holes will make more sense if you go here: [link] to see how an authentic wrap is done. Also, Raiden's blade is double edged, but it also has a flat surface on the middle of the blade in case that wasn't clear in the center drawing. As for his daggers, they do indeed have a tsuka-maki style wrapping on them for some reason which is black. The blade on the daggers is also double edged. The bevels go straight to the center of the blade for both sides. The reason the center is black is because it's painted that way. Oh, and you could probably extend the daggers an inch or inch and a half. In fact, you might even have one that has a 6 in. blade and two others that have a 7 in. one. It was hard to tell if they were all exactly the same although I got the feeling that at least one was a little bit shorter.

I hope this is useful to someone. C: Although if you do end up using this blueprint, I'd appreciate it if you'd give me a little credit.

I just saw one of your other swords on graph paper and have just started. Do you know of the Assassins Creed franchise? If so would it be possible if you could model some of their weapons on graph paper as well?

Yes, I do know of the series, but I'm not much of a fan. But it is a very popular series, so there are probably better blueprints out there already that would be better than what I could draw out. Also, the best source of blueprints is concept art and in game models. Assassin's Creed is so popular that the wiki would probably already have all the references you need. All you'd need to do is blow the image up to scale and you could then use it as a template. Sorry for the long post, but if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask. <:

Thanks and its alright. Do you have an email by chance? I have already done my first scale model of a blade from a Fallout/ Adventure Time crossover.

Of course, but you know you could just upload the pictures to Deviantart itself, right? You could get more feedback. <:
But the blade sounds interesting!

Just uploaded the picture I'm getting the reference off of. I would post a link but I don't know how to.

You can just copy and past the link. Deviantart shortens them down to "[link]" usually. Like this:[link]
And I saw it! It's an interesting idea.
